We’ll Save You a Seat

The Bridges at Springtree Golf Club

THe Mission:

Get more golfers to get more food & Drink

The Bridges at Springtree Golf Club, a municipal executive course in Sunrise, Florida, needed to boost sales in its clubhouse bar and restaurant.

We were brought in to film a 30-second ad to be aired on local TV that would show both the beauty of the course and draw attention to the clubhouse’s dining and beverage options, leading to increased sales.

The Approach:

Don’t Reinvent the wheel

With only 30 seconds to work with, we had to get creative to show the course, clubhouse, restaurant, bar, and venue rental options as thoroughly as possible. The managers at The Bridges at Springtree didn’t want to “reinvent the wheel.” They wanted an ad that showed their offerings in a straightforward, realistic manner–one that presented an authentic picture of what guests could expect upon arriving there.

Since this would be airing on local cable, we needed to consider our dynamic range (highlights and shadows) for thousands of differently-calibrated TVs, as well as clear voiceover, precisely 900 frames of content, and properly formatted closed captioning.

The Plan:

Simple, concise, Real

We decided to shoot aesthetically pleasing–but not staged–shots of the golf course and restaurant. This would include drone shots during Golden Hour.

We selected sunrise instead of sunset, both because of the sun’s position behind the course and because it would be criminal not to shoot in Sunrise at sunrise.

We also planned to capture gimbal shots in the clubhouse with and without patrons present.

The Execution:

Good Plans, Fun People

We scheduled one full day of shooting and a backup date in case of bad weather or other unplanned interruptions. Fortunately, our chosen date was beautiful!

The patrons and staff were also incredible–many of them volunteered to participate in filming and helped us achieve the warm, friendly, and realistic picture we’d hoped to paint. And the food was as tasty as it looked!
